What We Do

Commercial &
Industrial
Electrical.

No shortcuts. No excuses. No second inspection. 11 service disciplines, all executed under our Florida electrical contractor license #EC13014766. We specialize in complex commercial and industrial work: not residential, not light commercial, not handyman calls. If it needs a licensed commercial electrician, we’re the call.

Mission Critical

Data Center & AI Infrastructure

Power that can't go down, from the utility to the rack.

Data centers, AI deployments, and server rooms run on electrical systems that cannot fail. We build the full power path, from service and switchgear through generator, ATS, and UPS to busway, PDUs, and high-density rack power, plus the power for liquid cooling and the conduit and duct banks your fiber and low-voltage teams pull through.

Work near live systems runs from a written method of procedure inside your change windows, with documentation your facilities team can use on day one.

Commercial Electrical & Tenant Build-Outs

From shell space to certificate of occupancy.

You've signed the lease. Your GC has a schedule. Your opening date is already on the calendar. The last thing you need is an electrician who shows up late, doesn't understand the permit process, or has to redo work that fails inspection.

We've run tenant build-outs for restaurants, medical offices, retail centers, and national brands across Tampa Bay. We know what inspectors want to see, we handle the AHJ coordination ourselves, and we deliver clean, code-compliant work the first time.

Industrial

Industrial Electrical

3-phase power, motor controls, and high-voltage work done by people who know what they're doing.

Industrial electrical isn't the same as commercial electrical. The stakes are higher, the equipment is more complex, and a mistake costs your facility real downtime and real money.

We've worked inside GE industrial facilities, Riverhawk Industrial Supply, and manufacturing operations across Central Florida. We understand 3-phase systems, motor controls, VFDs, 480V distribution, switchgear, bus duct, and MCC installations. We coordinate around your production schedule, not the other way around.

New Construction

Ground-up electrical, from the first conduit to final commissioning.

New construction electrical is a coordination sport. You're working alongside GCs, MEP engineers, HVAC trades, and plumbing, all on the same deadline. We know how to play that game.

We read drawings, submit permit packages, coordinate inspections, and stay ahead of the schedule so we're never the reason another trade stops moving. From tilt-wall warehouses to multi-story commercial buildings: rough-in through final trim, start to CO.

Scope Includes

  • Ground-Up Construction
  • Rough-In
  • Trim-Out
  • Commissioning
  • GC Coordination
  • Plan Review
  • Permit Filing

Service & Panel Upgrades

When your facility's power infrastructure has maxed out, we rebuild it.

Expanding operations, adding equipment, or dealing with an undersized service entrance that should've been upgraded five years ago: we handle it. We assess your load, design the upgrade, coordinate with the utility (TECO or Duke Energy), pull the permit, and install it to code.

Scope

  • Switchgear
  • Service Entrance
  • Load Studies
  • Utility Coordination
  • Meter Banks
  • 400A to 4000A
Recovery

Disaster Recovery

When the storm passes, we're the ones who rebuild it.

Hurricanes Helene and Milton were destruction events for commercial properties across Tampa Bay. We performed the electrical reconstruction at Belleair Beach Resort & Hotel and supported the Tampa Bay Rays' Tropicana Field rebuild after both storms.

Disaster recovery electrical requires rapid response, insurance documentation, emergency permitting, and a contractor who can manage chaos. We've done it. If your property took a hit, call us before you call anyone else.

Underground Electrical

What's buried matters just as much as what's in the walls.

Underground conduit, duct bank construction, directional boring, and utility connections: this is specialty work that requires the right equipment, the right crew, and a thorough understanding of local utility requirements. We've done underground scopes for commercial and industrial clients across Tampa Bay and Central Florida.

Scope

  • Conduit
  • Duct Bank
  • Directional Boring
  • Trench Permits
  • Utility Connections
  • Commercial Site Work

Lighting & Energy

Light that meets code and lowers the bill.

LED retrofits for offices, warehouses, retail, and parking areas; lighting control systems with occupancy and daylight sensing; and emergency egress and exit lighting that passes life-safety inspection.

Controls are designed to the Florida Building Code, Energy Conservation (ASHRAE 90.1 / IECC), and every retrofit is permitted and inspected like any other commercial scope.

Scope

  • LED Retrofits
  • Lighting Controls
  • Emergency Egress
  • High-Bay & Site Lighting
  • Energy Code

Permit & Inspection Management

You don't chase the city. We do.

We prepare and submit permit packages, handle plan review comments and resubmittals, and schedule and attend every required inspection through final sign-off and CO.

We work with building departments across Tampa Bay every week, including the City of Tampa, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, and Manatee counties, and the Cities of St. Petersburg and Clearwater.

Scope

  • AHJ Submittals
  • Plan Review
  • Load Calculations
  • Inspection Scheduling
  • CO Sign-Off

Rebuilds

Tear out what's wrong and do it right.

Older commercial and industrial facilities often carry decades of electrical patchwork that's been pushed past its limits: undersized feeders, outdated panels, code violations, and compromised infrastructure that creates real risk.

We perform complete electrical rebuilds: tear-out, redesign, and reinstallation. Clean slate. New infrastructure. Built to current NEC and AHJ requirements.

Scope

  • Full Rewire
  • Demo & Replace
  • Code Compliance
  • Feeder Upgrades
  • AHJ Coordination
  • Load Recalculation

Conduit & Raceway Systems

The backbone of every electrical system is the pipe it runs through.

EMT, rigid steel, IMC, PVC, and HDPE: conduit selection, layout, and installation is a trade skill that separates professional electrical contractors from everyone else. We install large-scale raceway systems for commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and site infrastructure.

Including duct banks, underground runs, exposed industrial pipe work, coordinated overhead raceway layouts, and the conduit, sleeves, pull boxes, and cable tray your fiber and low-voltage contractors need, installed and bonded before they arrive. (We run the pathway; they pull and terminate the cable.)

Scope

  • EMT
  • Rigid / IMC
  • PVC Conduit
  • Duct Banks
  • Underground
  • Overhead Raceway
  • Cable Tray

Scope of Work

We Lay the Groundwork.
Your Fiber & Low-Voltage Teams Build On It.

On data center, commercial, and venue projects, Ohm Grown runs the conduit and installs the groundwork your fiber and low-voltage contractors need, sized and scheduled with them up front, so their crews arrive to finished pathways and live power.

Ohm Grown Installs

  • Conduit, sleeves, and core drills
  • Underground duct banks, handholes, and directional boring
  • Cable tray, ladder rack, and J-hook pathways, installed and bonded
  • Pull boxes and pull strings in every run
  • Power circuits for network racks, MDF / IDF rooms, and PoE switches
  • Telecom grounding busbars and bonding

Your Fiber & Low-Voltage Contractor Installs

  • Fiber optic cable, splicing, and termination
  • Structured (copper) data cabling
  • Access control, cameras, and security systems
  • AV, audio, and display signal cabling
  • Network equipment, testing, and certification

Ohm Grown does not install fiber, network cabling, or low-voltage systems. We build the pathways and power for the contractors who do.
